Are you happy with your work?Do you feel fulfilled?Are you well appreciated?These are some of the questions we ask ourselves when we talk about work. No matter how excellent you are at it, you may not always be appreciated or rewarded at what you do.Don’t get me wrong, I know there are tons of people who love their job – but you can’t deny that there are also others who feel stuck and unsuccessful at what they do.

This is perfectly normal! There will come a time when your job becomes so mundane to you that you feel it’s not fun anymore, you feel like you are not contributing or you feel like it’s not for you.So how do you deal with it?It all comes down to this – fulfillment! At the end of the day we want to be fulfilled. We want to be appreciated and rewarded for the hard work we put in our work. But at the same time we want to build a life outside of work – It’s a lot to handle and its exhausting!I believe,  in order for us to balance work, family, fun and social life – we must love every aspect of what we do – and that includes work!Work is important. It may not be the most important thing in your life but it sure is one of the top 10 in the list.So how do we enjoy work?Here are few things you can do in order to feel that work is fun:1. Be responsible!You are responsible for your life! You either change what you don’t want or face it head on.

If you can’t help changing something immediately, then you just have to find a way to deal with it and own it. Make the most of what you have right now at this moment. Proper mindset is the key!2. Motivate yourself!A positive mindset works wonders. Think about how your work helped you on daily basis. How it helped you get through tough times and how it gave you a better life.

How it gave you enough to enjoy social life. How it will help you save for your future plans. It is helpful, to think of all the times your work helped you achieved something.3. Organize!An organized mess is simply – a mess! Trust me, it will not help you. To organize is to make daily task easier. So organize properly.

Make a to do list. Prioritize your tasks – finish the easiest and simplest tasks first and then move up to those that are time-consuming. This way it will be easier to complete tasks and it will enable you to tick all of items in your list faster. Always take note of what you need to do FIRST and work on it!4. Concentrate!Finish one thing at a time! Do not distract yourself and worry about other stuff when you are working on a project. Yes, its OK to take a breather – recharge and then get back on it!  Concentrate at the task at hand. This way you can produce quality work and finish it in a timely manner.

5. Relax and Unwind!The most important part of working is to take a break. If you reset – this will help you de-stress a little and straighten your thoughts. This will give you the boost you need to finish tasks and even do more! Do not forget that rest is also part of working.

You need to recharge your body and mind in order to be at your best when you go back to work.6. Ask for help!Some people think that asking for help is a sign of weakness. I assure you it’s not! If the task is too much, ask your boss or manager to assign people to help you or ask someone to help you set up a plan to make your task easier.

There is no shame on that!7. Delegate!If you think, the work fits other people’s job description or skill set – then delegate. It is better to recognize the things that fits you and fits others. Do not forget that delegating is part of the work flow. A team effort is a good effort!8. Be pleasant!You have to make your workplace pleasant and enjoyable.

Treat your co workers well and respect them. Do not participate in office gossips! Do not start trouble! End trouble and conflicts if you must! Do not associate yourself with negative people, refrain from them. Give good insights and project positive attitude.9.

Be Transparent!Be sure to clarify to your manager or boss what you can contribute to the company. This will help the organization assign tasks that will work best on your skill sets. This will also help you do your job better and easier.10. Review!Before you leave work, review your day.

Check your to do list and see if you missed anything, if you did,  then do it first thing tomorrow. It is OK if you can’t finish everything in one sitting –  just make sure you can finish it before the deadline. It is always nice to check everything before you leave, it will be easier for switch off your “work” side and turn on your “me” side. You don’t have to worry about work if you made sure you did everything that needs to be done before you clock out!11. Keep your life in check!Your life is not just your work.

There is so much more out there. Work is just part of it. Do not make your work the only fulfilling thing in your life.

Go out! Have fun! Enjoy the life outside of your desk. Volunteer! Create! Love! There is a bigger brighter picture of life out there!Enjoy your work! You don’t have to dedicate your life to it, you just have to make space for it. If in the long run you decide this job is not for you, you can always pack up, move and find other career path. But for the meantime – enjoy what you do!
