In the national scenario, Cucurbita pepo L’s cultivation
emerges as an important vegetable in our economy. The vegetable has a
relationship with the Cucurbitaceae family. It is like a cackrey, watermelon,
melon, and cucumber  (Filgueira, 2008).
The agricultural economic amount develops from the unripe fruits
commercialization. In this research, we will be using the seeds of Cucurbita
pepo L. as fertilizer for Solanum melongena cultivation. In its seeds, there is
mineral zinc. There will be more zinc when it is unshelled. (www.whfoods.com)

You can get phosphorus, magnesium, manganese and copper
in pumpkin seeds. Phosphorus helps plants grow by converting other nutrients
into helpful building blocks. It is usually found in fertilizer. (www.gardeningknowhow.com) Magnesium’s nutrient is important to plants. It has a
big role for plants to function. One of it is in the photosynthesis process, as
it is the Chlorophyll’s building block, which make green leaves come out. (www.smart-fertilizer.com) Manganese is used as a main contributor to various
biological systems, also photosynthesis, respiration and nitrogen assimilation
in plants. Plants need very small amount of micronutrients that can be found in
copper. (www.pthoculture.com)  Pumpkin
seeds have antioxidants which can defend the plants from damage. Examples of
its antioxidants are carotenoids and vitamin E. (www.healthline.com) Pumpkin
seed contains vitamin E. Every 100 g. of pumpkin seeds consist of at least
35.10 mg of tocopherol. (www.nutrition-and-you.com) It also contains
carotenoids. Dietary fibers can also be found in the seeds. There are four
fatty acids that are present in pumpkin seeds. These are palmitic, stearic,
oleic, and linoleic acids. This includes 16.41% palmitic acid and 11.14%
stearic acid which are the saturated fatty acids. It also includes the
unsaturated fatty acids which are consisting
of 18.14% oleic and 52.69% linoleic acid. (Shodhganga.inflibnet.ac.in)
Another fact with the seed is that it is rich in nutrients, has high content of
protein and its micronutrients are plenty. Total sugars, protein, fiber, fat
and moisture levels are the chemical content of pumpkin seeds were 0.11%,
33.82%, 21.97%, 31.57% and 8.46%, respectively. (www.sciencedirect.com)

The plant that we will be using for our research is eggplant.
It is a perennial and annual plant. Perennial means that it’s life span can
last more than 2 years. Annual means it completes it’s life cycle. It’s stem is
frequently spiny. White to purple are the color of it’s flower and in there,
there are the stamens which is color yellow. (Wikipedia)

Our research aims to know what will be the effects of
pumpkin seeds as fertilizer in eggplant’s fruit cultivation. We will identify
there will be changes to the fruits of eggplants or none.
