The bermuda triangleImagine being on a ship or aircraft, then all of the sudden disappearing forever.  Mr. bartok and fellow classmates, today i will be talking to you about the mystery of the bermuda triangle.  The bermuda triangle is a part of the north atlantic ocean where ships and aircrafts have disappeared.  The Bermuda Triangle,  also known as the Devil’s Triangle, is located off of the southeastern coast of the United States in the North Atlantic Ocean.  This area is bounded by Miami (Florida), San Juan (puerto Rico) and the North Atlantic island, Bermuda.

The Bermuda Triangle, the mythical section of the North Atlantic Ocean, covers around five hundred thousand square miles of the southeastern tip of Florida.  In the past 100 years, the bermuda triangle, also known as the devil’s triangle, has seen a high number of unexplained disappearances of planes, ships, and people.  Many reporters state that more than one hundred ships and planes have been reported missing in the area of the bermuda triangle, more than one thousand lives have been lost also.  In 1975 Mary Margaret Fuller, The editor of fate magazine says that there was no greater amount of incidents than in the bermuda triangle.  The legend of the bermuda triangle went even farther in 1974 with a sensational bestseller about this legend.

 Since that time, scores of fellow paranormal authors and writers have blamed the legend on every possible cause but alien invasion.  You will not find the bermuda triangle on any official map and most definitely won’t know when you cross into it.  Many people believe that many of these disappearances can be blamed on extreme weather or a magnetic field that messes with the aircrafts or ships compasses and systems.  Scientists have also discovered freak waves in the bermuda triangle that are up to one hundred feet high.  Water spouts are mini tornadoes on water that could possibly take down a nearby ship or aircraft.  The bermuda triangle is subject to violent and unexpected storms and weather changes.
