Training is an initiative taken by the organization to encourage the employee to learn and increase their knowledge.
It is also a process to improve skills of the employee to fulfil their job. The training is focus to acquire the knowledge. Training is playing an important part in Human Resource. Every organization usually provides training towards their employee for a specific training or general training based on the requirement of his or her jobs. Training is aimed to drive employee to be productive and efficient to perform their jobs. According to Goldstein and Ford 2002, in Khawaja and Nadeem 2013, training is considered as a systematic method of gaining knowledge and development that enrich employee and organization that lead to the competences for growing.
Effective training is how an employee transfers the skills and knowledge to perform their job effectively or to achieve the organization goals and objective. Most of the organizations nowadays believe that the training is a certain approach of enhancing skills, increase productivity, increase value of the job, and forming employees reliability and trust Driskell (2011). There are many factors that contribute to the effectiveness of training such employee perceptions of training, employee work performance and managerial supports toward the training. These variables are link with the effectiveness of training. In most organization they believe that employee perception towards the training is one of the factors that contribute to the effectiveness of the training in the organization. If the organization can fully support to send their employee for the training it will help to boost the employee performance.
The researchers decide to focus on employee perceptions of training, employee work performance and managerial support towards training that influence the effectiveness of training at Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB).
